START welcome over 200 young entrepreneurs to launch event!

ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION AT SCALE! 🚀

A new milestone for START this week as we welcomed more than 200 young entrepreneurs from 14 schools to the University of Strathclyde for our biggest launch event yet!

The day kicked off our 2026–27 programme with a Design & Systems Sprint, combining hands-on workshops with an inspiring panel Q&A featuring Kevin Walls, Tony Hamill and Matthew Adams, who shared their experience and insights with our participants.

The numbers for this year’s programme tell an exciting story:

📍 33 schools
🚀 500+ young people
🌍 4 regions across Scotland

What began at The High School of Glasgow just three years ago is now reaching young people at scale, developing the creativity, confidence, resilience and entrepreneurial mindset they need for the future, while building an increasingly national youth startup competition.

A huge thank you to the brilliant team at Strathclyde Inspire, particularly the amazing Thomas Devaney, for helping us make this event such a success. Big thanks, also, to Ruby Inns, Emily Provan, Caitlin Murphy, Ava Crozier, and Fatima Iqbal.

We’re always looking for ambitious partners who want to help connect young people with Scotland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. If you’d like to be part of what we’re building, we’d love to hear from you.
